Job Description

Position Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist for Housekeeping is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness across all guest rooms and public areas. This role works closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and team to inspect rooms, enforce standards, and maintain a consistent, high-quality guest experience across the entire property.
Key Responsibilities & Description of Duties:
Perform meticulous inspections of guest rooms, cabins, villas, and public spaces, ensuring all areas meet established cleanliness and presentation standards Detect even the smallest flaws or inconsistencies that could impact guest experience or property quality Conduct comprehensive, multi-structure inspections across the entire property, including the main stone lodge, cabins, and villas Ensure all housekeeping standards, safety procedures, and sanitation protocols are consistently followed Identify deficiencies and provide immediate feedback and corrective guidance to housekeeping staff Document and report inspection results, maintaining detailed quality control logs and tracking recurring issues Collaborate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and maintenance team to resolve issues efficiently and prevent future occurrences Verify all rooms and facilities are guest-ready prior to occupancy Assist in training housekeeping staff on cleanliness standards, inspection expectations, and best practices Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages Support daily housekeeping operations as needed, including room cleaning during peak occupancy periods Maintain a proactive approach by anticipating potential problem areas and implementing preventative quality measures
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role in hospitality Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and safety practices Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in resorts, lodges, or multi-structure hospitality properties Familiarity with inspection protocols or quality control systems Bilingual skills (a plus)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-30 lbs Ability to perform detailed inspections, including reaching, crouching, and examining tight or elevated spaces
Work Environment:
Fast-paced hospitality setting with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities Frequent interaction with housekeeping staff and occasional guest engagement

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
