Job Summary:

The Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas within the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas. This role ensures that these spaces are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Area Cleaning:

Clean and sanitize public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and meeting rooms. Ensure floors are swept, mopped, and vacuumed; surfaces are dusted and wiped down. 2.

Restroom Maintenance:

Regularly check and clean restrooms, ensuring that they are stocked with necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all restrooms. 3.

Guest Interaction:

Greet guests and offer assistance if needed while maintaining a professional demeanor. Address any immediate concerns or requests from guests regarding public areas. 4.

Trash Removal:

Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in designated areas. Ensure that trash bins are kept clean and free of litter. 5.

Maintenance and Reporting:

Report any maintenance issues or hazards in public areas to the maintenance department. Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, and report any shortages to the Housekeeping Supervisor. 6.

Appearance and Safety:

Maintain a clean and professional appearance, following uniform guidelines. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Must have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout shift Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and product usage Professional appearance and positive attitude Reliability and punctuality Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed Appreciation for historic properties and their unique care needs

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
