Job Description
Job Summary The Houseman is responsible for assisting the housekeeping and maintenance teams by ensuring that all guest and common areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and has a strong sense of teamwork and customer service. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Assist housekeeping staff with the delivery and removal of linens, towels, and amenities. Change bed linens and towels, ensuring they are fresh and properly arranged. Restock room supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and other amenities as needed. Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests in a timely manner. Experience Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred but not required. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and floor care is a plus. Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
