Hotel Room Attendant

Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the hotel rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination. Physical mobility and stamina required. Some computer knowledge. Must be 21 or older. Able to follow instruction. Ability to understand, read and write simple English, Good communication skills are an asset Detail oriented and good organization skills. Professional attitude is required. Able to work independently. Excellent time management skills, able to clean 14 rooms within 8-hour shift without help.

Licensing Requirements:

Class II Tribal Gaming License Essential Job Functions:

Stock and Sort Supplies. Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms and public areas. Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries. Wash, dry and fold laundry. Strip bedding and perform special project assigned by supervisors. Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests, e.g. Fridge, microwave, rollaway…. Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests Report any out of order items in guest rooms and public areas to supervisor. Perform deep cleaning duties, e.g. extract carpet… Perform other tasks assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Constantly required to use hands to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to stand; walk climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Working conditions:

Working in laundry involve near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to risk of electrical shock.. Work mainly in doors. Works in a moderate noise level environment, increasing to loud when in laundry.
