Housekeeping/Janitorial Direct Report:
Locker Room Manager Tacoma Country & Golf Club Overview Founded in 1894 and the oldest continuously operated club west of the Mississippi, the Tacoma Country & Golf Club is among the premier private country clubs in the northwest. Perched on the banks of American Lake, the club offers a world-class 18-hole golf course stretching 6,945 yards which has hosted numerous national and regional championships. In addition to our worldwide reputation for championship-caliber golf, we offer a distinctly Northwest family lifestyle, a culinary culture headlined by Chef Jamie Belisle, Jr. Olympic- size swimming pool, lakeside boat dock with swimming area and tennis courts, homespun hospitality delivered by our tenured, dedicated staff, and our absolute commitment to environmental stewardship. Position Summary The Graveyard Housekeeping/Janitorial position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of the Club's facilities during evening and overnight hours. This role ensures that all areas of the Club, including member spaces and common areas, are clean, orderly, and well-prepared for daily operations. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, sanitizing, light maintenance support, and proper waste disposal, contributing to a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for members and their guests.
Position Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties Cleaning:
sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampoo carpets, dusting, and cleaning windows and mirrors
Sanitizing:
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, break rooms, and surfaces
Trash:
Taking out trash and recycling, replacing liners
Supplies:
Restocking restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, toilet liners, soap in dispensers)
Maintenance:
minor repairs as needed (example: replacing light bulbs); report maintenance issues as they come to your attention
Organization:
Keeping Janitorial closet stocked, organized, and clean. Secure building before leaving; make sure all doors, windows, entrances/exits are securely closed and locked Work with the groundskeeping team to alert them of maintenance issues directly around the perimeter of the
Clubhouse Requirements:
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications Ability to communicate with co-workers and management staff in clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on creating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment Must be motivated, responsible and independent Extreme attention to the smallest detail Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. A sense of pride in your work and love for cleanliness/organization Ability to work Graveyard shift a must. Must be able to lift 25+lbs, and perform physical activities Able to provide excellent communication skills.
