Non-Exempt Position Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and laundry items are cleaned, processed, and distributed efficiently to support daily housekeeping operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality, presentation, and availability of all guest-facing and operational linens to meet the resort's standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Laundry Operations:

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other laundry items according to standards
• Monitor wash cycles, chemical usage, and machine performance to ensure optimal results
• Identify and separate damaged, stained, or worn items and report them for replacement

Inventory & Distribution:

• Maintain proper inventory levels of clean linens and towels for housekeeping operations
• Assist in tracking linen usage and reporting shortages or overages
• Distribute clean linens to housekeeping teams based on daily operational needs
• Ensure linen storage areas are clean, organized, and stocked

Quality Control:

• Inspect all laundered items to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards
• Rewash or retreat linens that do not meet quality expectations
• Follow all brand, property, and safety standards related to linen handling Support to

Housekeeping Operations:

• Coordinate with housekeeping team to support timely room turnovers
• Assist with stripping and restocking units when needed during high-demand periods
• Maintain awareness of daily occupancy, arrivals, and departure needs

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines when handling chemicals and equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe laundry work environment
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and materials

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment (training provided as needed)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and consistent attendance

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 pounds regularly
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as folding, sorting, and loading laundry

• Exposure to heat, humidity, and laundry chemicals
• Indoor work environment with continuous equipment operation

Schedule Requirements:

• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays
• Hours vary based on occupancy and operational needs
