Job Description
Overview We are seeking a day-time housekeeper to provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable and orderly environment for the residents, staff and public. The housekeeper is to promote hygienic conditions, which prevent the spread of any infections and/or odors. The following is a list of duties expected of the position. Duties and responsibility are subject to change based on the communities needs and/or if requested by management. Every other weekend is required.
DUTIES:
- Clean all specified rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, common areas and hallways in a sanitary and timely manner
- Dust all furniture, pictures, blinds, light fixtures, air vents, and window sills
- Wash all basins, mirrors, commodes, toilets, tubs and showers
- Mop all bathrooms floors in resident's room
- Vacuum all bedroom floors
- Steam and/or spot clean any marks on carpeting
- Empty all garbage cans, including trash on cleaning cart
- Report any needed repair immediately to management (i.e. leaky faucets or toilets, loose tiles, any broken or unstable furniture, and so forth)
- Report any accidents and/or incidents, and fill out proper documentation
- Maintain resident confidentiality per HIPAA requirements
- Coordinate with 2nd shift housekeeping, care givers and kitchen staff
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- May be exposed to hazardous materials and infectious diseases; thus, employee will be required to wear gloves, gown and/or masks when necessary
- May have to clean up human waste and other body fluids as required
- Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
- Expected to lift, carry, walk, push, pull, reach, kneel, and crouch as tasks require
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Act in a responsible and professional manner at all times
- Follow all Anita's Gardens policies and procedures
