Job Description
We are currently seeking diligent and highly motivated individuals to join our flower processing team at Strelitzia Flowers and J&D Wholesale. The position we are offering involves working as part of our cut crew/flower processing team, which operates within a fast-paced, physically demanding, and labor-intensive environment. The primary responsibilities of this role include unloading large shipments of flowers from trucks, unpacking boxes, meticulously inspecting flowers for quality, cutting and arranging them in designated containers, as well as handling tasks such as washing and moving buckets, maintaining cleanliness in coolers and work areas, and performing other janitorial duties as necessary. Successful candidates for this position should possess the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, demonstrate proper bending and lifting techniques, and effectively multitask to maximize productivity. While prior experience in floral processing is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. Applicants must have availability on the following days and times: Mondays from 9 am until completion of tasks, Tuesdays starting at 11 am until task completion, Fridays from 9 am until task completion, and Saturdays from 9 am until task completion. Most shifts will span 4 to 8 hours, with occasional flexibility for additional shifts as needed or available.
