This role involves organizing and maintaining the bar prep area to support efficient service, following established systems and practices. The Bar Prep employee also ensures that all prep equipment is used, cleaned, and stored properly. This role requires a team member with strong attention to detail, the ability to follow recipes accurately, and a commitment to maintaining clean, organized workspaces to ensure efficient operations and uphold high standards. The Bar Prep employee plays an essential role in the production of beverage offerings across Los Angeles bars, as well as for off-site events managed by West Temple Hospitality.

Bar Prep Lead, General Manager, Owner Menu Prep :
Prepare all essential beverage offerings, and other bar ingredients according to daily requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Quality Control :
Inspect and prepare produce and other items, removing any ingredients that don't meet quality standards. Support with Mise en
Place :
Ensure all necessary items are readily available and prepped for service hours, helping streamline the bar's workflow in all areas of operations. Including but not limited to Bar/Walk-ins/Storage Areas & Chest freezers.
Inventory Assistance :
Monitor ingredient levels and notify the Bar Prep Lead or manager when items are running low to help with production work flow and inventory management.
Workstation Maintenance :
Maintain a clean and organized prep area, keeping tools, ingredients, and workspace ready for efficient use. Properly store and label prepared ingredients, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
Compliance :
Adhere to health and safety regulations related to food and ingredient handling.
Waste Reduction :
Practice efficient ingredient usage to minimize waste and contribute to cost-effective operations.
Service Support :
Assist bartenders and servers during service by addressing immediate needs, including preparation tasks, opening duties, and in-service support for front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth guest service and a seamless bar experience.
Team Support :
Collaborate closely with Bar Prep Lead to respond to production needs, ensuring all requested items are prepared and available by the specified deadlines. Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements. Must meet any state, country or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling and legal requirements for serving alcohol Must be able to observe wares for cleanliness and chemical labels for safe handling. Must be able to stand and walk during a 4 to 8 hour shift. Must be able to frequently immerse hands in water. Must be able to work with all menu products. Must be able to hear well in a loud environment to respond to employee and guest needs. Must meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas. Must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals. Minimum Age requirements of 21. Able to work in a team environment. Meets uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift. Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements. Must meet any state, country or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling and legal requirements for serving alcohol. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends. Possesses excellent guest service skills. Able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
