This is a full time FOH Manager position with benefits that requires nights and weekends, averaging 50-60 hours a week. Every Friday and Saturday night, we turn into a Latin nightclub from 11pm-3am. This position requires a wide range of beverage, service and business acumen. We are looking for leaders that can run shifts, collaborate, and also teach and develop their team. Leadership is essential. We look to our leaders to set the example, coach and develop their teams.
Qualifications:
1-2 years previous management experience in a fast-paced restaurant with high service standards Adhere to food safety and responsible alcohol standards Be hospitality oriented Be at least 18 years of age Must be eligible to work in the United States Ability to speak, read and write English. Cuba Libre provides its guests an \escape\ to Havana, Cuba. Not to the 500-year-old city's past, but to the sights, sounds and tastes of the colorful, bustling city of today. While our design reflects the architecture of Cuba's distinctive Old Havana district, Cuba Libre serves chef-crafted versions of both traditional and contemporary Cuban dishes. Cuba Libre's carefully curated menu combines beef, poultry, pork and seafood with tropical fruits, root vegetables, herbs, and seasonings into a mix of robust and soul-satisfying dishes, which are flavorful, but rarely spicy. It also features hearty vegetarian options. Cuba Libre specializes in rum and mojitos, offering more than 90 premium and flavored varieties of dark, light, spiced, and aged rums, and many varieties of mojitos. The restaurant's premium cocktail selection uses a wide variety of fresh ingredients including numerous tropical fruits and juices. Cuba Libre presses, by hand, hundreds of pounds of fresh sugar cane weekly to extract sugar cane juice, known as guarapo, used to sweeten its signature cocktail, the mojito. Cuba Libre recognizes the importance of music and rhythm in Cuban culture, transforming after dinner on weekends into a late-night Latin hot spot featuring DJs spinning a mix of Latin music, with live performers and dancing. We use E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
