In this energetic role, you will be responsible for expertly cutting, trimming, and preparing a variety of meats and seafood to meet customer needs. Your culinary skills and commitment to food safety will ensure our products are of the highest quality, delighting customers and enhancing their shopping experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your craftsmanship makes a real difference every day. Duties Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare meats and seafood according to established standards and customer requests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher station, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Package products securely for retail display or customer take-home use, ensuring freshness and presentation Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent customer service Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure quality control Restock display cases with fresh products, monitor inventory levels, and communicate shortages or needs to management Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and uphold high standards of food preparation Requirements Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques, including deboning, slicing, and trimming seafood and meats Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to maintain hygiene and product integrity Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist shoppers confidently and courteously Previous experience in culinary roles or kitchen environments is highly desirable Ability to stand for extended periods while performing precise cutting and preparation tasks Certification or training in food safety practices is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Join us in delivering top-quality meats and seafood while creating a welcoming shopping experience!
