Job Description
Position Description:
The Trim Manager oversees all employees in the trim department to ensure all product meets the quality standards of Sunburn Cannabis. The manager is responsible ensuring the department is fully staffed, stays on schedule, and operates efficiently. Job Functions The manager's job functions include but are not limited to the following: Reviewing processes to explore areas of opportunity and increase efficiency Conducting interviews Employee hiring and terminations Setting schedules Ordering equipment and supplies needed for the department Transporting product from dry/cure to the trim room Documenting daily throughput of individuals, strain data and monthly employee evaluations Developing training programs for struggling employees not meeting expectations Moving product in Biotrack and making conversions Monitoring employee attendance & tardiness Documenting strains and weights being allocated to employees Sorting and sifting of flower/extraction material Training new employees to follow our SOP's Finely hand trimming dried flower Spot plant pests and other perils, with a keen eye for spotting issues and reporting up the chain Follow protocols and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Maintain a clean and organized work environment Ability to execute techniques consistently Competencies Communication Proficiency Biotrack Time Management Thoroughness Motivational Self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented with strong problem solving and decision-making skills Able to work efficiently and accurately Flexible, collaborative, team-oriented person with good communication skills Must be a dexterous, adaptable individual Basic Qualifications Basic math skills High school Diploma Must be at least 21 years old Preferred Qualifications Prior nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience Experience in medical cannabis industry or other alternative healthcare organizations is highly desirable Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas Must be able to work in a safety aware environment Bachelor's Degree in horticulture The Company complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended by the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), and all applicable state and local fair employment practices laws, and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with disabilities.
