As a key team member, you will be responsible for providing outstanding retail experiences, managing product displays, and ensuring our customers leave satisfied and eager to return. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting fresh seafood, providing product demos when needed to highlight quality and freshness Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and inviting Upsell products by suggesting complementary items or premium options to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Conduct product demos to educate customers about different seafood varieties and preparation tips Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products, store hours, or special promotions with excellent phone etiquette Supervise team members during shifts, overseeing daily operations and ensuring high standards of customer service are met Requirements Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or seafood market setting Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stocking procedures, and grocery store operations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting stock boxes, standing for extended periods, and maintaining cleanliness standards Chopping fish Join us at Carters Fish Market to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-quality seafood and memorable shopping experiences!
