Job Description

Location:
Boston Sword and Tuna.10 Codfish wayBoston, MA. 02210The Dock/Receiver Associate is responsible for proper receiving of all fish and gourmet products. The receiver is responsible for maintaining area cleanliness and providing necessary support to ensure fast, friendly, and accommodating service while always upholding food safety standards. Employee must have the ability to communicate with delivery companies, drivers, and be able to perform light administrative duties. ResponsibilitiesCheck received goods (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable products according to internal procedures.

Ensures inbound trucks are properly scheduled and product is in a wholesome intact condition.

Properly receives inbound loads, records entries accurately, and scans products properly according to the purchase order.

Supports work-loads and productivity and ensure that all receiving is put away and completed in a timely manner. Communicate with internal and external departments regarding orders and shipments. Distribute products internally according to food safety rules and storage orders.

Label, stock and inventory department merchandise accordantly. Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process and maintain an awareness of inventory and stocking conditions; note any discrepancies in inventory.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
Education High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience One to two years of related experience in food production. Seafood experience preferred. Work ethic A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines.

Accuracy Demonstrated ability to accurately pack product in a timely fashion. Language Basic English speaking and written proficiency.

Mathematical Ability to perform basic arithmetic tasks adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
Environmental:
Willingness to work in a cold climate of 35.A combination of the above will also be considered.
