Smokehouse Pit Master Full Rack Barbecue Saint Clair Shores, MI Job Details Full-time $24 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Meat trimming Smoking (cooking technique) Barbecue Kitchen management Meat cookery Advanced knife skills Full Job Description Pit Master (Lead) - Full Rack Barbecue Full Rack Barbecue is hiring a Lead Pit Master to run daily smoker operations and execute high-volume BBQ prep. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility—you're leading the pit, with support from our current pit master.
Pay:
$24-$28/hr + overtime + performance bonuses
What You'll Do:
Run smokers start to finish (fire, temps, timing) Cook brisket, pork, ribs, and more at scale Maintain consistency, quality, and readiness for service Manage prep, yields, and minimize waste
What We're Looking For:
Proven pit/BBQ experience ( not entry-level ) Can run the pit independently Reliable, disciplined, detail-oriented Comfortable with early mornings & long cooks Serious applicants only — this role requires real pit experience.
Pay:
