Grind/Blend Operator Darling Ingredients Inc. - 2.8 Fayetteville, NC Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Climbing Full Job Description Grind/Blend Operator General plant labor, including operating machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, grinder operation, rotator and slurry meat operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds, and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General plant labor. Utilize and operate a forklift Utilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on products Temperature monitoring of product and rotator operation Fresh meat sampling/Frozen meat sampling Raw product unloading Finished product loading Plate Freezer Operation Inventory counts Stretch Wrapper Operation Pressure Washer Operation Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc. Shovel and clean up spills in the plant. Keep barrels emptied of trash and products. Clean equipment from top to bottom. Help unstop screw conveyors. Cut plastic and product off of screw. Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains. Paint as directed. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will typically not supervise another position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read and write. Ability to climb stairs and silos. Ability to stand for entire shift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing, climbing, walking, and working overhead Ability to lift 50lbs
