• Able to lift 50lbs frequently and lift over 75 pounds occasionally
• Able to work in refrigerated and freezer units for extended periods

DESCRIPTION

Great Plains Beef is looking for a dependable and driven full-time Ground Beef Team Member. This individual would have an opportunity to work as a team and learn up to 3 different positions within the grind operation. The Ground Beef Team Member will be focusing on processing beef trim to produce high-quality ground beef at various lean points. The team member will operate a variety of industrial equipment to produce and package beef and assist in labeling and boxing. The team member will also be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting equipment and the work area to meet all food safety guidelines. The hire will be carrying out this position in Great Plains Beef's state-of-the-art production facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Ground Beef Team Member will work within a team environment to fulfill all safety and quality standards. Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors are a must. This opportunity has the potential to provide training on meat cutting and other skills as per assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

The Ground Beef Team Member will work closely with co-workers and management in the Ground Beef Production Room. The production line for grinding, packaging, and labeling includes the following duties: Operate industrial equipment Packaging and label ground beef into patties, 1-pound, and bulk packaging Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation Follow safety guidelines Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.
