Noble Valley Harvest Co is hiring for individuals who can work in post harvest processes, primarily trim and packaging.
Position Overview:
Post Harvest Associates will perform hand trimming of harvested cannabis flower, packaging, labeling as well as assist with other post-harvest tasks. We harvest every three weeks, with approximately 7 days of trimming and 4-5 days of packaging per harvest. Post Harvest Associates will be compensated via a unique commission system for trimming and $21/hr base rate for all other tasks. If you are a talented trimmer and can consistently trim more than one pound per day, you will earn more than the base rate. As our operations expand, we expect Post Harvest Associates to become full time and other full time opportunities made available.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Trimming and Manicuring:
Carefully trim and manicure cannabis plants to remove excess leaves and stems, ensuring a high-quality final product.
Sorting:
Identifying flower size and sorting into specified flower size categories
Quality Control:
Inspect plants for any signs of disease, pests, or other issues and report findings to the Post Harvest Supervisor.
Efficiency:
Maintain a consistent pace while trimming to meet daily production goals.
Packaging:
Precisely weigh incremental units of flower and place them into packaging. Affix any labels as necessary.
Sanitation:
Ensure all tools and workspaces are kept clean and sanitized to prevent contamination.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and high standards of product quality.
Compliance:
Adhere to all company policies and state regulations regarding cannabis cultivation and handling.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience:
Previous experience in cannabis hand trimming or a similar role which demonstrates similar detailed repetitive processes.
Skills:
Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of cannabis plant anatomy and cultivation practices is a plus.
Work Ethic:
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk Ability to perform repetitive task 8 - 9 hours consistently Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Other Requirements:
