What We Need:
We need a Spice Room Operator who is responsible for the accurate weighing and labeling of individual ingredients utilized in specific recipes for the production facility
What You Will Do:
You will identify each ingredient, specifications, and allergen status You will scale the exact amount of ingredients needed for the recipe You will stage and organize ingredients when scaled, following the set procedure for the same You will properly label each scaled item following the standard procedure for the same You will ensure the work area is clean, neat, and free of debris, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace You will notify Lead/Supervisor immediately of any ingredient concerns or food safety risks You will use the proper color-coded allergen scoop as needed You will communicate with raw materials dept. for delivery and return of materials You will verify and record lot codes for traceability You will work in compliance with allergen changeover procedure and completion of documentation
What You Need:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to read and comprehend English Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office) Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language Must have the ability to properly interpret and understand documents such as safety guidance, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, and division) Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Ability to repeatedly lift and maneuver bags and boxes weighing 50 pounds by hand or with the use of a pallet jack Must possess a "strong attention to detail" mindset Must be able to stand for an 8-10-hour shift Must possess knowledge of GMP's and Food Safety practices such as HACCP Must practice good personal hygiene and PPE usage Must be able to work in a confined space with different spices and scents Work environment includes seasonal exposure to warm or cool temperatures
