Our Bohemia Store is actively seeking a PT Seafood Clerk (BOH) for its busy seafood team! Uncle Giuseppe's gourmet Marketplace serves its customers freshly delivered seafood, with a vast array of seafood choices. Many types of fish, crab, lobsters, clams, oysters, scallops and all of the seafood you can imagine! Our Seafood Chefs cook seafood dishes, gourmet style, for our customers to grab and go for a gourmet cooked home meal! Our Seafood clerks (BOH) display seafood products and related items in a careful, clean, neat, and expedient manner while ensuring that all product is fresh, rotated and well stocked for our customers. Responsibilities The Seafood Clerk will display counters and cases are arranged, stocked, and replenished with ice and seafood productCheck and verify freshness of seafood items in live tanks. Verify and remove spoiled product and rotate merchandiseThe Seafood Clerk will weigh, price, and package customer selections using weigh scales, label machine and wrapping machineProcess merchandise according to production guidelines and follow established sanitation standardsThe Seafood Clerk will keep displays iced according to company policy and change ice as scheduledReceive and unload seafood delivery truck and store product in designated areaReceive supplies, organize and maintain inventory of newly received merchandiseMonitor cooler, display cases, and tanks for correct temperature to assure product qualityThe Seafood Clerk will maintain a clean and neat department, free from safety hazards; report hazards to management.
