Upriver Organics is a diversified family farm whose mission is to grow high quality, food for our local community and ourselves while enjoying the process. We are a 2nd generation farm in the McKenzie River Valley, 35 minutes east of Eugene and 40 minutes from the Willamette National Forest and Three Sisters Wilderness in the Cascade Mountains. We are an Oregon Tilth Certified Organic Farm in our 30th season. We seeks offer a unique bounty of produce well adapted to this region and grown for flavor and nutrition. Our farm stand is a unique and inviting space that carries all the standard local produce as well as other staples; breads, drinks and more. Best known for our blueberries, we grow a wide variety of crops-all organically. Sweet corn, cucumbers, melons, and much more. Items that we don't grow or are not in season are sourced locally from other farms. We also offer U-pick Blueberries in July. We are hiring staff and a lead for 20-40hrs/week We are looking for individuals with a passion for food. A true desire to talk with our customers and a drive to create a mind blowing customer experience . Knowledge of fresh vegetables and an eye for designing and maintaining vegetable displays is a must. Keeping things fresh, clean and well stocked is essential. This position requires strong customer service skills and experience in retail and cash handling. Experience in a produce department, natural food store, cooking with local foods, gardening, etc are all helpful. Qualifications knowledge of produce and cooking with produce Physical ability to lift heavy bins of produce. Customer Service experience. Roles Being a warm, knowledgeable ambassador for our organic farm. Opening and closing farm stand Stocking produce Creating attractive displays Assisting customers with their purchases. Quality control of fruits and vegetables Packing special orders Processing produces for freezing, drying and juicing. Packaging value added items. Basic grounds maintenance around farm stand. Field management of U-pick fields. Packing produce for our farmers markets. Bringing positive energy for your coworkers Compensation $16.50-19/hour 25% Discount Off Farm Stand goods.
