Beef Modernization Sorters work in a high-paced environment and must understand Food Safety and Quality are their primary responsibility. Beef Modernization Sorters undergo intensive and recurring training and must be willing to train/educate others. Beef Modernization Sorters work closely with many different harvest floor departments including

USDA-FSIS

Consumer Safety Inspectors.

Requirements:

Harvest floor knife experience

• straight knife Ability to sharpen a knife and maintain a sharp knife
• straight knife Willingness to learn anatomy, physiology and pathological disease processes Excellent communication skills
• Basic English speaking and writing comprehension Must be detail oriented and disciplined Interested in work that challenges you mentally Ability to lift, push, and pull product repetitively Work effectively in a TEAM atmosphere
