Position Summary:
The Embrex team is responsible for overseeing the process to ensure all functions of the job are done according to procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Is expected to partake in the hatchery quality control program, animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety programs.
Be able to comply with the company's low transfer crack assessment expectation.
Be able to ensure that the correct eggs are being pulled and placed into the correct hatchers.
The ability to work in an environment of 100+ degrees for long periods of time and withstand unpleasant smells.
The ability to lift or push pull 50 lbs. or more repeatedly. Ability for continuous standing, walking and frequent lifting, turning, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, grasping, kneeling, reach forward, pulling stretching.
Maintain spare parts inventory and monitors vaccine inventories.
Set up and take down Embrex process equipment
Wash and sanitize Embrex equipment and incubators and rooms.
Remove racks of eggs from incubators and loas into Embrex machine.
Place empty egg flats into farm racks.
Place full racks of egg flats in washer and stage in holding areas.
Place full hatcher dollies of eggs into hatchers.
Monitors machines and equipment for proper operation and document findings.
Perform maintenance repairs as needed.
Train others with the skills and knowledge gained from positions.
Equipment adjustments as needed and informs Leadership/Maintenance when equipment is deficient and unable to identify immediate action.
Perform other duties as directed.

Flexibility to work in changing environment and adjust to various production demands.

Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, safety policies.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communication in a good manner.
Arrive on time, complete schedule shifts, and provide advance notice for planned absences.
Does not leave the premises until job is complete.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Training required as provided by automation and incubation vendors as well as internal trainers and managment.
Ability to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers.
Must not raise any poultry or birds.
Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak English preferred
Ability to work with minimal supervision
