Greenhouse Assistant

Farm Laborer, Sunny Farms

• Sequim, WA Sunny Farms has an opening for a full-time farmhand at its vegetable and nursery operation. Primarily you will be working with vegetables
• preparing the ground, germination, planting, weeding, harvesting. We rotate through quite a few different crops, plus we germinate seeds for our Othello, WA operation. So, plenty to do and plenty to learn. Qualifications
• Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to regularly lift 25-50 lbs. (repeatedly) and occasionally up to 70 pounds, be able to stand for long periods of time and work in all kinds of weather.
• Must be able to follow effectively detailed written and/or oral directions.
• Must be willing to learn and be comfortable asking questions.
• Must work with co-workers in a positive and effective manner.
• Available to work weekends and holidays. Physical requirements
• Must be able to make fast, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in a fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Experience
• Tractor and agricultural experience preferred but not required.
