Bus Monitor/Education Support Floater (Early Childhood Education) Easterseals North Georgia - 3.6 Winder, GA Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Bus Monitor/Education Support Floater We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Head Start team as a Bus Monitor/ Education Support Floater. As a Bus Monitor/ Education Support you will accompany the bus driver to pick up and take home all children assigned to the route. Also to provide support to classrooms where a high need has been identified and at times substitute as needed.
Duties:
Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with bus rules and regulations. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and bus drivers. Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely. Educate students on proper bus conduct and safety procedures. Provide support to students with special needs or disabilities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and incidents during bus rides. Assist Teacher and Teacher assistant when needed in classrooms. Assist in cleaning classroom and equipment.
Skills:
Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging situations on the bus. Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff. Experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or childcare setting. Knowledge of special education practices and techniques for supporting students with disabilities beneficial.
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in a licensed child development center. Highschool Diploma or GED required.
