We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and professional individuals to join our team in providing non-emergency medical transportation to our communities.
What We Offer Starting Pay:
$20.00 per hour
Experience Differential:
Additional $0.50 per hour for each year of prior chair car driving experience
Pay Cap:
$26.00 per hour
Flexible Scheduling:
Day, evening, and weekend shifts available

Team-oriented culture with opportunities for growth Position Overview Chair Car Drivers at Beauport Ambulance are responsible for providing safe, professional transportation to ambulatory and mobility-impaired patients traveling to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities Safely transport patients in wheelchairs, ensuring proper use of all tie-downs and safety restraints Provide courteous and professional service to patients, families, and healthcare staff Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicle, including completion of daily vehicle checklists Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and training requirements Attend required trainings and maintain all necessary certifications Operate company vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws Perform housekeeping duties at assigned base locations Minimum Qualifications Valid Massachusetts Driver's License with at least one (1) year of driving experience Clean driving record Must be able to pass a drug screening (including THC) Must be able to pass a CORI background check CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Physical Requirements Lift up to 45 lbs from ground to 30 inches Push and pull wheelchairs with patients up to 350 lbs Carry up to 30 lbs Frequent bending, squatting, standing, walking, reaching, and stepping Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Ability to operate vehicles during all times of day, including high-traffic conditions Preferred Qualifications Prior chair car or medical transportation experience Ready to Join Us?
