Position Summary:

The Bus Monitor is responsible for working as a team member with the Bus Driver to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of Program Children.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Ensure children are in age/weight appropriate child restraint system. Assist children with loading and unloading from bus. Ensure children are released only to authorized individuals. In conjunction with driver, maintain route copy and assist substitute driver. Maintain backpack for respective route, medication log, name tags, seating chart, Child Plus forms. Engage children with age-appropriate activities, i.e. songs, games, music. Along with Bus Driver, maintain cleanliness of equipment and vehicle. Follow Transportation policies and procedures as outlined. The duties listed above are representative of the work performed. Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

HS or equivalent Evidence of MMR Ability to pass

CORI/DCF

background which includes fingerprinting prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
