ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES

: Assists the bus driver in maintaining appropriate student conduct on the bus Assists special needs students in getting on and off the bus Manages student behavior and implements behavioral interventions Alerts the school administration, driver, and guardians to student violations of the CCPS Code of Conduct verbally and/or in writing Operates a wheelchair, wheelchair lift gate, and other devices associated with wheelchair tie downs students into and out of wheelchairs and bus seats as necessary Assists in the removal of students in wheelchairs during emergency bus evacuations without the use of the chairlift Assists children into and out of safety devices Thinks, concentrates, and interacts positively with others Comes to work regularly and promptly Works under stress and meets all deadlines

PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS/ DEMANDS

Work requires occasional heavy physical effort. Tasks include lifting up to sixty (60) pounds.

EVALUATION

: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the policy on evaluation established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
