Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports children on the bus as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEP's). Supervises and redirects the behavior of children on the bus to ensure safety for the students. Must pass a physical performance test bi-annually as per NYSED requirements. Must attend a Pre-Service Class related to job responsibilities as mandated by NYSED. Must attend an additional ten-hour basic course on special education requirements including behavior management, wheelchair accessibility, use of vests, etc. Must attend two different (2) hour refresher classes yearly to keep up-to-date on procedures and requirements. Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older to qualify.
LOCATION
Districtwide HOURS:
Various Shifts (6:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. or 1:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.)
