Primary Purpose:

Safely transport students to and from school and to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Pass pre-employment drug test and background check Receive training on student management techniques

Special Knowledge Skills:

Ability to manage, communicate, and interact with bus students of all ages in a professional manner

Experience:

Experience working with children preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Monitor students to ensure safety and order during the bus ride Maintain required records Assist in keeping the inside of the bus clean

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage the bus riders while on the route

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
