Responsible for leading, supporting, engaging, and motivating youth in activity programs. Will assist in developing youth programs and leading and mentoring program participants.

• Key Accountabilities
• + Enthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.

+ Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules, prevent accidents, and identify inappropriate behaviors. + Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior. + Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices. + Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities. + Maintain, clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment. + Supervise children ranging from ages [insert age range if applicable]. + Clean up after the children every shift. + Play games and other activities with the children. + Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents. + Nurture sharing, sportsmanship and other social skills. + Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.

• Minimum Requirements
• + Must be at least 18 years old.

+ Adult and pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Instituterequired prior to start date. + Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth. + Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults. + Active listing skills and ability to relate to and provide fun, engaging, safe activities for youth of different backgrounds. + Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision. + Ability to be a positive role model for program participants. + Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. Compensation:

$15.00 - $16.48/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
