Recreation Supervisor

Recreation Supervisor Overview:

The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily operations of the Cobre Valley Recreation Center, ensuring high-quality service delivery, financial efficiency, and a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. This position works closely with leadership to implement strategic initiatives, optimize resources, and promote programs and services across all facility areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center, golf course, sport courts, pool, and event spaces. Develop and implement operational systems and procedures; advise leadership on policy improvements. Support budgeting efforts, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control strategies. Assist with marketing, outreach, and communication efforts. Track inventory and assist with ordering supplies and equipment. Coordinate scheduling and staffing coverage. Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor staff. Provide leadership, coaching, and team development. Investigate and resolve member concerns and service issues. Enforce policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions. Prepare operational, attendance, and financial reports. Monitor facility conditions and coordinate maintenance and safety. Support special events, tournaments, and community programs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk-management standards. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree and one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Required Certifications:

Current CPR for the Professional, AED, First Aid, and Arizona Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
