Our summer camp offers an inclusive, nurturing environment, empowering our campers to enjoy a fulfilling summer experience.
Role Overview:
Seeking a compassionate Summer Camp Lead to oversee camp operations, mentor staff, and ensure a memorable summer for campers with developmental disabilities. This role is perfect for those passionate about inclusive, supportive care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead camp operations, providing guidance to counselors and staff. Design activities tailored to campers with developmental disabilities. Ensure camper safety, adhering to health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with families, offering updates and addressing concerns. Conduct staff training on best practices in developmental disability care. Manage logistics for field trips, ensuring inclusive participation.
Qualifications:
Experience in caregiving, special education, or related fields preferred. CPR, First Aid, and Article 9 certifications desirable (willingness to obtain required). Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and able to pass a background check. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
