This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sports, physical education, and youth development. The Sports Coordinator will oversee a variety of sports programs, facilitate engaging activities, and ensure a safe and positive environment for participants. The position offers an excellent opportunity to combine coaching expertise with leadership skills in a community recreation setting. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead sports activities for Soccer, Flag Football, and Tee-Ball. Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and training sessions for children and youth of different skill levels. Manage behavior and promote positive conduct among participants to foster a safe and inclusive environment. Provide instruction in physical education, teaching fundamental skills and techniques in various sports and activities. Supervise participants during activities to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Coordinate schedules for sports programs, camps, or clinics within the facility or community settings. Collaborate with other staff members to create engaging programs that promote health, fitness, and teamwork. Maintain equipment and facilities related to sports activities, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met. Engage with parents or guardians regarding participant progress and behavior when necessary. Requirements Must have experience playing at a Junior/High School to Collegiate level. Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or working with children in recreational settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants of all ages. Must be at least 16 years of age.
