Job Description

Summary We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activity Coordinator to develop and implement engaging daily activities for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. This role supports day program operations, staff coordination, and ensures a safe, structured, and person-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Program & Activity Coordination Plan and implement daily and monthly activity schedules based on participant interests and abilities Develop activity plans and ensure materials/supplies are prepared and available Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked program areas Monitor program budget related to activities and supplies Participant Support Supervise individuals during activities and throughout the day Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including restroom support, feeding, and hygiene Ensure all individual support needs are met with dignity and respect Promote person-centered approaches in all interactions Staff Support & Oversight Assist with supervision of Direct Care Staff Provide coaching and guidance on activity implementation and behavior support Support staff training and new hire orientation Documentation & Compliance Complete required documentation (goal tracking, flow sheets, incident reports, emergency drills) Assist with ISP goals and progress reports Ensure compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and all local, state, and federal regulations Act as a mandated reporter and report any suspected abuse Program Operations Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment Assist with incident investigations and follow-ups Support program tours for prospective participants Collaborate with Program Administrator, Supervisor, and team members Physical Requirements Ability to lift and transfer up to 75 lbs (repetitively) Ability to stand, bend, and stoop frequently Ability to support individuals with significant physical disabilities Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License or ID and authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to pass fingerprint clearance, physical exam, and TB test CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with challenging behaviors Previous supervisory experience Experience developing and implementing activities Experience training or coaching staff Why Join Us Meaningful work supporting individuals in your community Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and development
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
