Open until filledPOSITION SUMMARY
Serve as Recreation Assistant planning and conducting recreation activities for tribal and community members of all ages.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of theRecreation Center Director:
1. Maintain sign-in/sign-out sheets for all individuals using the Recreation Center. 2. Ensure that Recreation Center participants abide by all rules, and maintain a safe environment for all participants. 3. Maintain an inventory and current stock of all equipment, materials, and supplies; ensure that all are in good working condition. 4. Provide orientation to new participants to the Center, identify goals and motivation level, and develop individualized training plans. Acquaint participants with equipment and provide instruction on proper usage of equipment. Complete "intake" forms for fitness center participants, and maintain confidential files. 5. Maintain progress and check back with new participants periodically to ensure that the equipment is being used properly and exercises are being done appropriately to ensure maximum benefit and reduce the risk of injury. 6. Ensure that the Recreation Center facilities are cleaned, maintained and stocked with appropriate supplies on a daily basis. 7. Perform other duties as assigned. 8. Heavy lifting of weights is required by all staff.QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR/First Aid certification a plus. 2. Experience working with youth and in recreation programs preferred. 3. Knowledge of sports, games, health and fitness. 4. Preference will be given to Native Americans (25 USC Sec. 472A) 5. Must be able to lift 5 lbs. to 75 lbs. 6. Must have a Current TB Test. 7. Must pass a background investigation, pre-employment drug test and live scan (DOJ/FBI). Rev. (01-26)Job Type:
