Activities Assistant Pay:
$17-$20/hour Marin Post Acute is looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team! If you enjoy working with seniors, bringing creativity to your work, and making a meaningful impact in people's lives, this is a great opportunity for you. Position Overview The Activities Assistant supports the Activity Director in creating and leading a dynamic, engaging activities program that enhances the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. This role plays a key part in making each day meaningful and enjoyable for those in our care. What You'll Do Assist in planning and leading individual, small group, and large group activities Help develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar and attendance records Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, reading, and social events Support in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or isolated Assist with resident outings and transportation coordination Maintain positive communication with residents, families, staff, and community partners Participate in care planning, assessments, and discharge planning Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming activity space Support documentation including progress notes and activity records Contribute to quality improvement initiatives as directed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
1 year of experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting Creative, patient, and compassionate personality Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to engage and motivate residents of varying abilities Why Join Marin Post Acute?
