Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Teacher / Camp Counselor, where, you'll inspire and guide children through engaging educational and recreational activities. This energetic role combines classroom instruction with outdoor camp experiences, fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes childhood development, creativity, and social skills. As a vital part of our program, you'll help children grow academically, emotionally, and socially while creating memorable experiences that encourage their love of learning and exploration. Duties Lead and facilitate classroom lessons tailored to various age groups, incorporating early childhood education , biblical information, principles and special education strategies when needed Organize and oversee camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and team-building exercises to promote physical activity and social interaction Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment Provide first aid and respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns during activities or emergencies Support children's emotional well-being through Christian counseling techniques or other supportive methods to foster confidence and resilience Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to communicate progress and address individual needs or challenges Maintain a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols, supervising children closely during all activities, and ensuring compliance with childcare regulations Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, or camp environments is highly preferred College degree with ECE credits is highly preferred. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children actively and maintain discipline positively Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or childhood development are a plus Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring special education accommodations Passion for teaching, childcare, sports coaching, theater arts or babysitting roles that involve working directly with students or children Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children alike Flexibility to adapt to various activities throughout the day while maintaining enthusiasm and energy levelsJoin us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives! Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
