Our Recreation, Sports and Events teams are hiring now for Activities and Events Crew Supervisors at Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre, our newest facility. The role of the Activities and Events Crew Supervisor is to support the Team Leader and the team, which includes: Supporting the preparation of Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre for community sport, activations, activities, and events as required. To ensure all duties are carried out in line with Christchurch City Council standards and procedures to achieve greater customer connection, familiarity, and retention. Respond appropriately to customer needs, including during emergency situations. Deliver a positive and engaging customer experience that inspires confidence and promotes a can-do attitude. To support and build a positive team culture alongside the Team Lead, including assistance with rostering and other team-related responsibilities. About you | Ko Koe Tēnei You're passionate about people and events, and you thrive in busy, community focused environments and you lead by example, you're proactive, positive, and a team player. Ideally, you will also bring: Previous experience in a customer facing role in the recreation, sport and event sector. You'll bring experience in supervising or stepping into lead roles within a small team. Be results-driven, with strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently while managing your own workload effectively. You will bring a proactive attitude to the role and a passion for working with people and collaborating across teams. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of users and colleagues Have a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate (or a willingness to obtain one)
