NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the U.S. Forest Service. These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the U.S. Forest Service through the Agriculture Conversation Experienced Service (ACES) Program. Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an "at-will" relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.PLEASE NOTE

Support the recreation special use program Forest-wide. Mentor new employees and assist with processing pre-season documentation, billing, tracking, and permit reissuance. Mentor and train ARP Units in creating, updating, and reviewing recreation special use permit Operating Plans, application processing, inspections, and processing other special use activities. 50% Mentoring ARP staff in day-to-day operations such as permit issuance, billing, review of operating plans, inspections, and other special-use activities. 50%Qualifications:
Minimum of 20 year(s) of experienceOR BA/BS
Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy, or a related field of study? Special Use Permit administration. Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS ExcelOther:
Allowed to attend scheduled trainings, as needed. Training will be provided to allow candidate to access USFS computer systems. Physical requirements: Work on a computer, communicate via phone.
