Part-time Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, organized, and enthusiastic Part-Time Summer Sports Camp Coordinator to lead and manage our youth summer sports program at the Tri-Lakes YMCA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for sports, and can create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers ages 5-14 while also supporting and directing camp staff.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and organize weekly camp schedules featuring a variety of sports and activities Coach and lead participants in multiple sports (e.g., basketball, soccer, flag football, etc.) Supervise and engage children ages 5-14 in a positive and inclusive manner Direct and support camp staff, providing guidance and ensuring smooth daily operations Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress, schedules, and any concerns Ensure a safe environment by following all safety protocols and procedures Set up and break down equipment daily Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development among campersPreferred Skills:
Previous camp coordination or leadership experience Background in physical education, recreation, or related fieldQualifications:
Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, coaching, or educational setting Ability to coach and instruct a variety of sports Leadership experience and ability to direct staff effectively Strong communication and organizational skills Energetic, reliable, and positive attitude CPR Certification (required) Completion of all YMCA required trainings (required) How toApply:
