Gym Attendant

Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gym Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our Rec Center environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors all areas of the Recreation Center, excluding aquatics, to ensure residents and their guests have a positive experience. Completes daily checklists to ensure the recreation center is clean and maintained properly. Assists residents with proper use of fitness equipment (no fitness training). Enforces policies related to behaviors in the recreation center. Assists residents and their guests with any questions or concerns they may have. Assists in setting up facilities for programs and services. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Required Skills and Abilities:

Skilled in first aid and CPR procedures and emergency response protocols Ability to actively engage and interact with customers to ensure a safe, structured, and enriching environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when needed. Ability to problem-solve effectively. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to different situations, including emergency or individual needs. Ability to speak effectively with coworkers, children, parents, and customers Ability to read and write effectively Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Certificates and Licenses:

First Aid & CPR required within 90 days of hire.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for long periods of time Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
