Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity. Chatham Place is the Assisted Living / Memory Care Community that is part of Mary Wade. The community includes 84 units, a combination of one bedroom and studio apartments. 20 units are Memory Care and the rest are traditional Assisted Living. We have a bistro, a salon/spa, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace!

Every Wednesday and Every Other Weekend Recreation Assistants are responsible for supporting and facilitating recreational programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of residents. In addition to leading and assisting with scheduled activities, the Recreation Assistant role includes the following responsibilities:
Dining Assistance:
Staff will assist during lunch service as needed, providing support in the dining area to ensure a smooth and pleasant mealtime experience for residents.
Floating Support:
Recreation staff will serve as floaters, providing flexible support across various programs and needs throughout the day.
Flexible Work Assignments:
Staff must be adaptable and willing to work in different locations within the community Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the senior retirement community or healthcare setting is required Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a healthcare setting. Typing skills and computer knowledge. Prior MS Office experience, including Word and Excel. Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments. Engages in positive customer service interaction with residents, families and visitors. Takes ownership of an error in delivery of service and works to correct the problem. Displays good attendance and is punctual. Ability to have positive communication, work ethics and teamwork with employees.
