S.T.E.A.M.

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program for K-8 students. We are hiring summer Counselors for our in-person summer program located in Stamford, CT. Our team members are passionate and creative people who believe in the Architecture Workshops mission: To inspire and make the world of architecture and design accessible for all children.

Benefits:

• All camp curriculum and materials are provided (programs are pre-developed).
• Provide intern AXP hours for NCARB certification .

Compensation:

Approx. $18 per hour. Weekly lunch with local architect firms for networking. Responsibilities Lead hands-on architectural projects and activities tailored to various age groups, encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all campers through effective behavior management techniques. Assist with setting up activity spaces, materials, and supplies to ensure smooth daily operations. Support campers' social-emotional development by providing encouragement, guidance, and positive reinforcement. Maintain clear communication with fellow staff members regarding camper progress and activity plans. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response procedures when necessary. Skills

• Previous counselor experience (working with children 5-12 (preferred)
• Knowledge of Architecture, Design, Construction, Engineering, or Trade Program (preferred) 3D Printing experience . Architecture Model Making experience
• Participate in all program activities, adhere to program standards, and camp policies.
• Personable, friendly, reliable, committed, focused, and communicative.
• Current Child CPR/ First Aid Certifications (a plus).
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the start of camp.
• Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment.
• Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, July 1th - August 09th, be able to commit for all six weeks, and attend a one day pre camp training & orientation.

Pay:

$18.00 per hour
