In this dynamic role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of recreational activities at local dining sites, ensuring a lively atmosphere that promotes social interaction and community well-being. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a positive experience for all guests while managing day-to-day operations with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Provide a minimum of four (4) hours of service each day at assigned Community Dining Sites. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate at least three (3) hours of meaningful recreational, educational, health, wellness, and social activities daily. Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages participant involvement and social connectedness. Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop monthly activity calendars that align with participant interests and DACL program objectives. Assist with participant registration, intake processes, nutrition screenings, and collection of required program documentation. Support the Nutrition Aide with maintaining accurate daily sign-in sheets and participant records. Ensure all required program documentation is completed accurately and submitted within established timelines. Assist with outreach efforts to increase participation and engagement at Community Dining Sites. Monitor participant attendance and report concerns or trends to the Program Manager. Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program materials in a safe and organized manner. Adhere to ERFSC policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and DACL program standards. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing health and safety standards, supervising staff during activities, and responding promptly to incidents. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Recreation, Human Services, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Experience working with older adults, community programs, recreation services, or social service programs preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to facilitate group activities and engage diverse populations. Experience maintaining records and completing program documentation accurately. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
