Job Description

Lead the Fun — We're Hiring a Summer Camp Program Coordinator! Discover Fun Camp is looking for a dynamic, energetic leader to help run an incredible summer experience for kids in Washington, DC. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love working with youth, and know how to lead a team while keeping the energy high — this role was made for you. As our Program Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of daily camp operations, working alongside our Program Director to bring creative enrichment programming to life every single day.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement daily enrichment activities that support academic, social, and emotional growth Manage the daily camp schedule and keep operations running smoothly Supervise, mentor, and support summer camp guides and interns Oversee camper check-in and check-out and ensure safety at all times Communicate with families professionally regarding schedules, field trips, and camper updates Maintain attendance records, incident reports, and program evaluations Help grow program enrollment and contribute to camp sustainability efforts Build a culture of respect, teamwork, and joy across the entire camp community
What We're Looking For:
Experience in program coordination, youth services, education, or a related field Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff or teams Background in curriculum design, enrichment programming, or youth development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment Ability to pass a background check Bonus if you have: First Aid and/or CPR Certification Experience managing program budgets A track record of building strong relationships with families and community stakeholders

Working Conditions:
This is an active, hands-on role. Expect to be on your feet — outdoors and indoors — engaging with campers and staff throughout the day. Must be able to lift recreational supplies, walk for extended periods, and participate in camp activities.

Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
