Summer Camp Counselor

The City of North Miami Parks and Recreation Department is looking for responsible individuals to work as summer camp counselors. The City of North Miami Parks and Recreation Department seeks responsible individuals to work as summer Camp Counselors for their Recreation Camp, specializing in Sports, Health and Wellness and The Arts. Individuals will work under the general supervision of the Site Directors and the Assistant Directors. Duties include but not limited to working hands on with children each day during all schedule activities and assisting in the safety and control of children during the camp and on field trips. The position is seasonal, Summer only.

Schedule Shifts:

Sunday•Saturday / 8:30AM•7:30PM (hours/shifts) may vary and will be adjusted based on necessity.

Start/End Date:

June 8, 2026•August 28, 2026 Must be 18 years old or older at time of application Must have some experience working with the public (customer service) Considerable amount of experience working with children Prior to employment, eligible candidates will be required to pass a Level II background investigation, comprehensive medical examination and drug test.
