Summer Camp Counselor

Job Overview Neighborhood Tennis is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our Tennis Summer Camp team for a fun and rewarding summer experience. Camp Counselors will play an important role in creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children throughout the camp day. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, bringing energy to group activities, and supporting a team environment. Camp Counselors will work directly alongside our tennis coaches and staff to help ensure daily camp activities run smoothly. Previous experience as a tennis coach is not required. Duties Supervise and help ensure the safety of campers during all camp activities Assist tennis coaches and staff throughout the day with camp operations and group management Help lead and support engaging activities such as tennis, sports games, arts and crafts, team-building activities, and other camp programming Encourage teamwork, respect, and positive behavior among campers Provide support to campers as they build confidence, learn new skills, and participate in activities Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive camp environment Communicate professionally with staff and assist with camper needs as they arise Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe camp setting Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as camps, schools, aftercare, or childcare is preferred, but not required Must be comfortable working directly with children and assisting coaches in a sports-based environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Energetic, dependable, and positive attitude First Aid or CPR certification is a plus, but not required A passion for working with children and helping create a great camp experience is essential Join us this summer and be part of a team that helps children stay active, learn new skills, and have fun in a supportive tennis camp environment.
