Fitness Center Attendant Salary:
$16.00
Hours Per Week:
Part-time, Monday- Friday Description:
The Fitness Center Attendant will be a leader in the Fitness Center, assisting residents with gym equipment, providing instruction on safe and proper use, in addition to greeting and checking in residents and guests at the front desk. Ideal candidate is reliable, customer service oriented, friendly and has experience working in a senior living community.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with gym equipment setup as well as safe and proper use. Being friendly, outgoing and personable in every interaction.
Perform administrative tasks:
inputting information into excel spreadsheets, creating documents for fitness center signage, update all signage on a regular basis, answering the phone, signing up residents for personal training. Provide clear communication with group exercise instructors both verbally and written to successfully manage classes on an ongoing basis Actively monitor the Fitness Center by checking resident ID's and the safety of the residents on equipment Login and monitor Virtual Zoom classes daily and assist group exercise instructors with Zoom and technology for classes. Prepare exercise equipment as needed for use during group exercise classes. Responding to emergencies to ensure timely care for residents when needed To assist in other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
1-3 years in the fitness industry. A passion for the fitness industry and helping clients reach their fitness goals The physical demands involve balancing, climbing, manual dexterity, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking. May be required to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Well organized and detail oriented CPR/AED certified (within 30 days)
