Fitness Attendant

Heathrow Country Club is looking for a part time Fitness Attendant. Please review the qualifications before applying.

Fitness Responsibilities:

Verify membership/ID to confirm membership and age. Enforce established policies and procedures diligently. Promote a secure workout environment through continuous monitoring of the gym area. Offer expertise on fitness equipment, ensuring members' confidence and optimal performance. Maintain pristine conditions on the fitness floor, equipment is sanitized, and ensure weights are organized. Ensure proper arrangement of weight benches and machines. Uphold cleanliness standards in the fitness center and bathrooms through thorough cleaning and restocking supplies. Manage laundry tasks efficiently. Demonstrate swift action in emergencies, following protocol with precision. Promptly report incidents of injury, theft, damage, or equipment malfunction to the supervisory team. Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions. Foster clear communication with the Fitness Director and Supervisors and diligently fulfill assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Required. One Year of Customer Service Experience Required. Experience in a Fitness Center Setting Preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications Required. Must be available to work morning and afternoon shifts. Weekends are required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Requires the ability to safely lift items up to 30 pounds. Continuous walking and standing. Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, and repetitive actions. Be physically able to reach, bend, and stoop. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by members, guests, and team members.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting, busy and noisy environment. Some varied weather conditions are expected with exposure to heat/humidity, or cool/cold weather. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. About
